- Our family lives in the Mountains of California, but loves to travel... Paul is a math and science teacher at the Yosemite Park High School, and Karen is a Park Ranger & Naturalist in Yosemite. Our girls are our wonderful guides and adventuring partners in all that we do whether it is waking up early for school on a dark midwinter morning, getting an alpine start for a climb, or heading overseas for another international journey.
